Our Safety Advantage: The Coring & Cutting Group Advanced Operator Training Class
The Coring and Cutting Group developed the Advanced Operator Training Class so our member companies have access to the most thorough safety training available in the concrete cutting industry. We host this intensive, hands-on program twice a year to help insure that every training participant on the CCG team is focused on safety and proper concrete cutting techniques.
The class covers core drilling, wall sawing, hand sawing, wire sawing and flat sawing. Training participants receive hands-on practice on different machines from small hand grinders to 110hp wire saws and everything in between. We deliberately work with a wide variety of equipment of various ages and from various manufacturers to simulate real-world working conditions. With the help of Diamond Products, ICS, Husqvarna, and Hilti, we have established a non-competitive, educational experience for all involved.
Along with the equipment training we also include extensive classroom time with our Safety Director, Carl Jones. Carl offers a rigorous program that walks learners through dozens of the elements and hazards of the associated with construction. We work directly with OSHA to ensure this class covers all of the elements required for OSHA 30 certification for eligible operators.
